Elizabeth Heaggans, APRN Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner
Since the beginning of my career, I have always been fascinated by plastic surgery and aesthetics. When I met Dr. Wilkes and started seeing him perform cosmetic, functional, and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and face, I was fascinated. I knew that this was a field that I wanted to learn and grow in. As I have learned and grown with Dr. Wilkes, I have realized how much my passion for aesthetics also ties into this field. I am so blessed to be able to contribute to both the surgical and non-surgical treatments we offer.
My philosophy is that the patient is a part of their care team. I strive to work with my patients to determine the best course of treatment specific to them. Each patient may have different goals, situations, and limitations. Their plan of care should be customized to them, while still following best practices.
What I love most about working at Pine and River is the people and patients that I am able to work with every day. I love helping patients learn to love themselves and feel confident! And usually that has nothing to do with the treatments we provide, but everything to do with the relationships we build.
My favorite part of my job is getting to see patients confidence increase! Aesthetic medicine can range from helping patients regain symmetry to their face following reconstructive surgeries, past injuries, muscle weaknesses due to nerve damage to treating sun damage, acne, anti-aging treatments, and so much MORE! It is so much more than meets the eye.
I am passionate about my career, and I care deeply about my patients. I strive for very natural results with any and all of the treatments I provide. I also want us to have FUN when you come in for an appointment with me!
