VISIA® is a digital imaging system that evaluates your skin at both surface and sub-surface levels. Think of it as a high-tech photo booth that provides a real-time, easy-to-understand, objective analysis of your skin in eight categories:
This system was originally developed as a research tool and now helps us develop the perfect treatment plan for your skin and its areas of need. The machine is computer-controlled and uses multispectral imaging to scan the skin and capture key information. It has built-in positioning aids, standardized lighting, and a magnification tool to take a closer look at specific areas.
After washing off all makeup, products, and surface oils from your face, you will be placed in front of the machine. The module will rotate around your face, capturing images from every angle. It’s completely painless, noninvasive, and has no negative side effects. The photo imaging takes about ten minutes, and then we’ll be able to analyze your results.
You will leave with a true understanding of your skin and a folder with your results and treatment options that fit your wants and concerns. A VISIA scan is offered to all new patients as part of every consultation service, and we can also track your progress and show your before and afters throughout your skin’s journey.
